Digitalcamera review: Repainting Samsung NX10 in Military Patterns

This time, I repainted Samsung’s one of newest products, NX10, which surprised me with its aspect quite compact as a mirrorless. Regardless of the good mobility, it also supports video shooting in a fairly good quality. What mostly I thought while disassembling the material is that the NX10 has pretty impressive lens for itself.

This is the Samsung NX10 which I’ve made the new figure with. After installing the hood on the bundle lens, it shows off an ergonimic design.

It’s better to close with the cap while operating in order to avoid nudging important parts of the camera.

I loosened all the screws even two hidden inside of the flash.

There was another screw hidden inside of the rubber adhered for the grip.

After eliminating all the screws, I opened the back board then it’s just lifted.

You guys must pay attention in this part. There are two soldered joints you’re seeing just above my thumb, I felt chocked when I touched them with my fingures, so be careful with.

Finally I disassembled the Samsung NX10.

Then I detached all the small components for a perfect repainting.

The housing is completely masked. Now it’s the time to work on the lens.

It’s a 18-55mm standard zoom lens.

I detached all the screws from the mount.

Same for the mainboard.

There are three sawlike gears behind of the lens. One of them is a non-fixed gear, so beware of keeping this.

The screws inside of the hole need to be loosened.

You can separate the tube from the rest when all other three screws on the mainboard are sucessfully eliminated.

The inside of the tube needs to be protected.

I measured the diameter of the hood.

Then cut paper streamers in a round shape to prevent from paint.

I prepared an epoxy primer to paint roughly.

I let them to be dried during one day, then painted over with desert-sand color. I didn’t attach any example pictures showing the painting work but, you will see the colored material in next pictures.

It’s the time to make military patterns. I overlapped papers streamers to produce numerous patterns in the same figure at the same time.

Sketching the patterns.

Sticking the patterns on the painted body and lens. It’s important to stick tightly.

I painted in white all the parts except where the patterns are sticked. I felt so excited when the stickers are all got off !

These are all the pieces painted in military pattern. After finishing lettering, I covered them over with pigment in Polyurethane. Just let them dry during one day.

When skins are solidified, you can begin to assemble the pieces by putting the head.

Putting the front board. Don’t forget to tighten two screws inside of flash.

I set AMOLED screen before covering with the back board. Be careful while operating this part because the screen can be destroyed when if you’re trying to push without correct insertion.
